Temporarily fill the cavity:

• Preparation, relining and impression taking are done as usual.
  
• Clean and dry the cavity.
• Place and model a sufficient amount of DX.TEMP into the cavity using a suitable instrument.
• Light-cure layers with a thickness of up to 5 mm for 20 seconds, layers with a thickness of up to 7 mm for 40 seconds. Fill and light-cure deeper cavities in layers.
  
• Remove excesses, shape and finish as usual. Polishing can be done with a polishing paste using polishing cups or discs.

Removal of the temporary inlay:

• Insert a suitable instrument such as a probe or a scaler into the temporary inlay and extract the material from the cavity, preferably in one piece.
  
• Clean the cavity with a rubber cup/a small brush and cleaning paste.
